What this site knows about you.

The short version

This site does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing embedded from another company. The only information I ever receive is what you choose to type into the enquiry form, and I use it to reply to you.

What the enquiry form collects

The form on the Start a project page asks for your name, your email address, and a message. You can also tell me about your business and which package you were looking at. Those last two are optional.

When you send it, that information is delivered to my email inbox and nowhere else. I keep it in my inbox so I can reply and, if we end up working together, so I have a record of what we agreed. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not sell, rent, or share it with anybody.

Who else handles it

Two companies are involved in getting your message to me, and only for that. Resend delivers the email. Vercel hosts this site and, like any web host, keeps short-lived server logs that include the IP address a request came from. I do not use those logs to build a picture of anybody, and I cannot connect them to you.

Cookies and storage

No cookies. Your browser does keep one small note for itself while the tab is open, which records that the opening animation has already played so you do not sit through it twice. It never leaves your device and it disappears when you close the tab.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within a year. If we do work together, I keep our correspondence and the project files for as long as I am looking after your site, and for a few years after that in case you come back to it or I need it for my records.

What you can ask me to do

Ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will. Send a note to Maddoxgc@icloud.com and I will get back to you within a week. There is no form to fill in and no reason you have to give.

Children

This site is for businesses, and it is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect anything from anybody under 13.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with data, this page changes on the same day and the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here applies retroactively to information you already sent.
